i-dle ((G)I-DLE) Members' Colors: Each Member's Color Season, Explained

i-dle ((G)I-DLE) Members' Colors: Each Member's Color Season, Explained — Korean color analysis palette

i-dle, formerly (G)I-DLE, has five members across five color seasons: Miyeon reads as True Summer, Minnie as Deep Autumn, Soyeon as Bright Winter, Yuqi as True Spring, and Shuhua as True Winter. We could not find official agency member colors, so each season here is an editorial read of the member's natural undertone, depth, and contrast, with the close calls flagged.

Is (G)I-DLE now called i-dle?

Yes. In May 2025 the group dropped the "(G)" and now promotes as i-dle, so you will see both names in search results and fan charts. The five members are the same under either name: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. Soojin left the group in August 2021 and is not included here.

Do i-dle members have official colors?

Searches for (G)I-DLE member colors usually land on fan graphics. We looked for a member-color set issued by Cube Entertainment and found none, and the fan-drawn versions contradict each other. So this page answers a related question instead: which personal color season fits each member, based on her own skin, hair, and eyes. Each verdict comes with the reasoning so you can check it against photos yourself.

How we read each member's season

Our method rests on three axes, judged from fan-cam close-ups, behind-the-scenes clips, and lightly made-up appearances rather than finished photo shoots, because comeback styling (bleach, red dye, heavy contour) hides the base. Undertone asks whether golden or rosy pigment dominates her complexion. Depth asks how much darkness her hair, brows, and irises carry overall. Contrast asks how far apart her lightest and darkest features sit, and whether her coloring reads crisp or hazy. Combine the three and you get one of the 12 Korean color seasons.

Treat every verdict as an informed opinion. Nobody here draped these members in person, video color grading varies wildly between broadcasts, and camera filters warm or cool skin unpredictably. Whenever a call is close, the section names the runner-up season too.

Miyeon (미연): True Summer (트루 서머)

Undertone: cool. Miyeon's skin reads pink-based rather than golden, and dusty rose sits more naturally on her than orange or mustard. Depth: medium. Her coloring is neither pale nor deep. Contrast: medium and soft. Her dark brown hair and eyes stand out against her skin without the sharp edge of a Winter, and her coloring looks blended rather than vivid. Cool, medium, and soft is the True Summer profile, which is how our Miyeon color season page reads her as well.

Judgment call: with lightened hair and very fair stage makeup, Miyeon could pass for a Light Summer. We read her on her natural darker hair, which keeps her at medium depth and in True Summer.

Best colors for Miyeon: rose pink, lavender, dusty blue, soft mauve, cool berry. Bright orange and warm gold are the shades most likely to fight her coloring. See the full True Summer palette.

Minnie (민니): Deep Autumn (딥 오텀)

Undertone: warm. Minnie's skin has a golden, slightly olive warmth, and earthy shades look richer on her than icy pastels. Depth: deep. She has the deepest overall coloring in i-dle, with very dark hair and dark eyes. Contrast: medium to high. Her dark features stand out clearly, but her coloring reads rich and warm rather than stark. Warm plus deep is the Deep Autumn profile.

Judgment call: depth is clear for Minnie, but undertone is the axis readers argue about. If you see her skin as more neutral than golden, Deep Winter is the neighboring read, the cool side of the same depth. Warm Autumn is the other neighbor if you weight her warmth over her darkness. We keep Deep Autumn because chocolate brown, burgundy, and forest green look more natural on her than true black and icy white.

Best colors for Minnie: dark chocolate, burgundy, forest green, burnt sienna, deep teal. Pale pastels and icy grays are the shades most likely to wash her out. See the full Deep Autumn palette.

Soyeon (소연): Bright Winter (브라이트 윈터)

Undertone: cool-neutral. Soyeon's fair skin leans pink-neutral rather than golden. Depth: light skin, dark features. Her natural hair and eyes are very dark. Contrast and clarity: high. The gap between her dark features and fair skin is strong, and her coloring looks clear rather than muted, so saturated color sits on her without taking over. High contrast plus clarity, on a cool-leaning base, is Bright Winter.

Judgment call: Soyeon is the member whose hair changes most, and bleached or red hair makes her look warmer than her natural coloring. We read her on her natural dark hair. Between Bright Winter and True Winter, we land on Bright Winter because her undertone reads closer to neutral than to the icy cool of a True Winter, and clear, vivid shades suit her better than deep, cool ones. True Winter is the neighboring read.

Best colors for Soyeon: bright white, electric blue, hot pink, vivid purple, clear red. Dusty, grayed shades and muddy browns tend to dull her. See the full Bright Winter palette.

Yuqi (우기): True Spring (트루 스프링)

Undertone: warm. Yuqi's skin has a golden, honeyed warmth, and warm shades bring her color up rather than sitting on top of her. Depth: light to medium. Contrast and clarity: medium, with clear coloring. Her features look fresh and bright rather than soft or smoky. Warm plus clear at a light-to-medium depth is the True Spring profile.

Judgment call: Yuqi's warmth is the easy part. The question is how much depth she carries. If you see her coloring as richer and more golden-brown than bright, Warm Autumn is the neighboring read. We keep True Spring because coral, clear orange, and turquoise look lively on her, while heavy browns and olive can make her look flatter.

Best colors for Yuqi: coral, peach, clear orange, warm yellow, turquoise. Icy pastels and cool grays tend to drain her warmth. See the full True Spring palette.

Shuhua (슈화): True Winter (트루 윈터)

Undertone: cool. Shuhua's very fair skin reads pink-cool rather than golden. Depth: light skin, dark features. Her natural hair is very dark. Contrast: high. The gap between her dark hair and pale skin is the strongest thing about her coloring, and high contrast on a clearly cool base is the core of True Winter.

Judgment call: Shuhua's features are delicate, and with lightened hair her contrast drops enough that she can look like a Light Summer. We read her on her natural dark hair, which keeps her in Winter. She is cooler and less electric than Soyeon, which is why we place her in True Winter rather than Bright Winter, but the two seasons sit next to each other.

Best colors for Shuhua: true black, bright white, royal blue, emerald, cool fuchsia. Warm orange, mustard, and camel are her least flattering shades. See the full True Winter palette.

What does i-dle's season mix look like as a group?

Our reading puts i-dle across five different seasons, with no two members sharing one: one cool Summer (Miyeon), two cool Winters (Soyeon and Shuhua), one warm Autumn (Minnie), and one warm Spring (Yuqi). That makes the group 3-to-2 cool-to-warm, the mirror image of LE SSERAFIM's 3-to-2 warm-to-cool split.

The group is useful for seeing how contrast and clarity change a palette. Soyeon and Shuhua both have dark hair against fair skin, yet one wears electric, clear color best and the other looks best in deeper, cooler shades. Minnie has dark hair too, but her warm undertone moves her into an earthy palette where black and icy white would feel harsh. Miyeon is the softest of the five, which is why the same hot pink that suits Soyeon can look loud on her.

Matching stage outfits have to flatter five very different palettes at once, so coordinated looks tend to retreat toward monochrome. Individual pictorials and solo releases give a clearer view of what suits each woman on her own.
